ABOUT THE LIMES DEVELOPMENT:
The Limes redevelopment project, nestled in the heart of Didsbury Village. The site is within the St James Conservation Area. With a commitment to honouring the site’s heritage while revitalising its purpose, the project created 15 new apartments and 4 townhouses. Having stood vacant for five years, the building, once a care home were unsympathetic extensions and alterations were made, saw these be removed as part of the redevelopment project.
Our Role in the Project:
We installed a fully adhered warm roofing system for both the townhouses and the apartment building.
The project commenced with the installation of the vapour control layer, using the Sarnavap 500E and 5000E self-adhesive systems. Carefully selected to optimise vapour control for each roof, these systems offered unparalleled durability and flexibility, ensuring long-term resilience against moisture ingress.
We next installed the Sarnatherm tapered insulation, with a U-Value of 0.18, which facilitated efficient thermal regulation. This is an insulation option that is thicker at one end than the other, creating a smooth, subtle gradient on what would otherwise be a flat surface.
To complete the roofing systems, we installed the Sika Sarnafil G410-15EL single ply membrane, renowned for its exceptional weather resistance and protective properties. With ultraviolet light stabilisers and flame-retardant features, this membrane provided a robust shield against the elements, guaranteeing longevity and reliability for years to come.

Through collaborative efforts and dedication to quality, The Limes redevelopment project emerged as a triumph of restoration and renewal, by completing the development to high standards we achieved the 20-year manufacturers guarantee, and the customer being happy with the outcome.
