About the project:

The development at 325 Deansgate in Manchester will see the creation of a 357 bedroom Aparthotel. This will be situated in the heart of Manchester, next to Deansgate tram and railway stations, with commercial and retail space on the ground floor.

Our role in the 325 Deansgate project:

Here at Enviroply Roofing, we will be installing Alumasc Hot Melt roofing systems for the 325 Deansgate development. This will be installed on roof A, B and E.
We will begin the installations by drying out the roof deck with Etorch. This provides deeper and faster drying than a gas torch, and can dry a roof deck at a rate of 1m per minute. As such, it is the perfect option for the Hydrotech Hot Melt roofing systems we will be installing.
Following the correct drying of the roof deck, we will then apply a horizontal Hydrotech Hot Melt system. This is a high performance, one component system that is fully reinforced, flexible, and self-healing. With an outstanding reputation and performance record over the past 50 years, this roofing system is created from refined asphalts and synthetic rubbers, with 30% recycled content. Applied as a liquid to the roof deck, this creates a bond that is fully absolute, seamless, and secure, for maximum roof protection.
We will then be using the Hydrotech Hot Melt vertical system for:
  • Roof A: Parapet curtain wall flashing , AOV flashing, Ventilation duct flashing
  • Roof B: Terracotta parapet wall flashing, Lift overrun flashing
  • Roof E: Perimeter wall flashing

This vertical application will be applied to extruded polystyrene upboards in line with the manufacturers recommendations and the development drawing plans provided.

Roof A and B will also see the installation of a precast paving layer on top of the roofing system. Hot Melt roofing systems, like the Hydrotech system, is perfect for this as the hot melt layer is flexible and durable.
