Our role in the project:
As Lancashire’s leading roofing experts, here at Enviroply Roofing, we are pleased to be working again with Vermont Construction on this development at Brackley Street. We will be installing 12 new roofing systems across many different buildings and blocks, including a terrace roof area, a hub, a plant area.
Buildings A to C, the Terrace Lobby, The Hub, and Block E
For these areas of the development we will be installing an Alumasc Renolit roofing system with a 20 year guarantee.
This will begin with the insulation layer, which will be the Alumasc FF tapered insulation. These are rigid insulation boards with composite foil facings on both sides that provide an incredibly low U Value, thanks to the high level of thermal efficiency.
Following on from the installation of the insulation layer, we will be mechanically fixing the Alumasc Renolit Alkorplan membrane into place. This single ply membrane is a thermoplastic PVC-P membrane, with more than four decades of use for commercial and domestic properties. During this time, the Renolit Alkorplan membrane has become renowned for its impressive weatherproof qualities, UV resistance, strength, flexibility and durability. This will be guaranteed for 20 years.
Terrace roof area
For the terrace roof area, we will be installing an Alumasc Derbigum roofing system with a 20 year guarantee.
For the insulation layer, the Alumasc FF tapered insulation will be installed onto a concrete deck, as required. These are square edged, rigid insulation boards that have a composite foil facing on both sides to ensure maximum thermal performance.
We will complete the roofing build up for the terrace roof area by installing the Alumasc Derbigum APP modified bitumen membrane. This is a membrane option that provides a high level of tensile strength and exceptional stability in all weather conditions. In fact, the Derbigum APP membrane offers a higher performance alternative to PVC single ply, making this a strong, durable and long lasting option for a roof terrace.
