Here at Enviroply Roofing, the latest project we will be working on is the development of Oaklands Care Home on Moss Lane in Leyland. Here, we will be installing a mechanically fixed Alumasc Alkorplan roofing system.

About the project:
The Oaklands Care Home development will see the transformation of the former Oaklands convent on Moss Lane in Leyland. The Edwardian building will become a 66-bed unit care home, which will include specialist dementia facilities. This is much needed for the area with projected increases in both dementia and mobility-related health issues set to rise by 87 and 68 percent respectively. The new development is also predicted to create 55 new jobs.
Our role in the Oaklands Care Home development:
Here at Enviroply Roofing, we will be installing the roofing system for this development. This will be a mechanically fixed Alumasc roofing system, with a 20 year guarantee.
To begin with, Alumasc FF insulation will be installed. These are rigid insulation boards, with a 200mm depth. These have a composite foil facing on both sides, and this provides an incredibly low U Value, as well as a high level of thermal efficiency.
Once the insulation layer is in place, we will complete the roofing system with the installation of an Alumasc Alkorplan membrane. This is a thermoplastic PVC-P membrane option, with more than 40 years of use as an impressive weatherproofing choice for single ply roof systems. With proven results, this membrane offers increased UV resistance, strength, flexibility and durability and will be guaranteed for 20 years.
